Thailand

The Kingdom of Thailand is one of the most popular and well-visited destinations in South East Asia with good reason. Since the 1970s, the word has spread about the region’s breathtaking natural beauty, golden temples, friendly Thai people and mouth-watering cuisine. The country continues to grow and develop.

Phuket is Thailand's largest, most developed and most visited island. It attracts a cosmopolitan, chic international crowd who come for the beaches, laid-back lifestyle and huge choice of activities. The island is not completely over run with package tourists though – there are still plenty of places to experience the 'real' Thailand.

The spectacular Ko Phi Phi islands are of outstanding beauty. They have famously been featured in James Bond films and in 'The Beach'. The area was hit in the Tsunami of 2004, but not as badly as commonly reported. Recovery has been fast and most damage has been rectified.

The most popular time to visit Phuket is during the dry season, between December and April where there is less rain and the weather is warm and reliable.
